C4H8S Sensor

Tetrahydrothiophene (chemical formula: C4H8S) at room temperature is a volatile liquid without color, very low levels in the air when you can smell, and the gas equipment, pipeline gasket material such as corrosion, therefore are often used to add to the coal gas and natural gas as warning agent used, at the same time also can be used as medicine, pesticide and chemical production of raw materials.Because tetrahydrothiophene is flammable, protective measures must be taken in the use and transportation process, away from the source of fire.

The tetrahydrothiophene sensor use an electrochemical measurement principle.The measured gas has a chemical reaction at the electrode inside the sensor, which generates a current proportional to the gas concentration. The concentration value of the measured gas can be obtained by measuring the current.In addition to the two electrodes necessary for the battery pack, a reference electrode is added inside the sensor, which is mainly used to stabilize the electromotive force of the induction electrode (the electrode at the reaction of the measured gas) and improve the stability of the measurement.The design of the diffusion fence allows the gas entering the sensor to react with the sensor electrode and preserve electrochemical activity, so that the sensor has a long service life and temperature stability.
