Sulfur dioxide (chemical formula SO2) is a colorless gas with a strong pungent odor, is one of the main pollutants in the atmosphere.Sulfur dioxide in air pollution mainly comes from the combustion of sulfur compounds in coal and petroleum. When sulfur dioxide meets water, it will form sulfurous acid, the main component of acid rain, which will seriously damage the ecological environment.Still, sulfur dioxide isn't all bad.In real life, sulfur dioxide can be used as a preservative in food preservation, as well as an antibiotic and antioxidant in wine making.In addition, sulfur dioxide is often used in the production of sulfuric acid, pesticides, fungicides, artificial fibers and dyes.
The sulfur dioxide sensor USES a three-electrode electrochemical measurement principle.The measurement method relies on the measured gas entering the sensor internal chemical reaction at the electrode, so as to generate a current proportional to the gas concentration. The gas concentration can be obtained by measuring the urine and feces of the current.The traditional electrochemical gas sensor has only inductive electrode and negative electrode, while the three-electrode gas sensor of sensor expert network adds a reference electrode on the basis of the traditional one, and plays the role of stabilizing the potential of the inductive electrode together with the external voltage regulator circuit to improve the measurement performance.Electrochemical gas sensor has the advantages of convenient use, low cost and high measurement accuracy.
